Founded in 1962, the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles (KAFLA) has served Korean American and neighboring communities across Los Angeles County through advocacy, social services, and civic engagement. Our mission is to represent and empower the Korean American community of Los Angeles County. We advance civil rights, foster U.S.–Korea relations, and build cross-cultural understanding. We bridge generations and organizations and cultivate the next generation of Korean American leaders. Addressing fundamental needs, including economic and food security, health access, and legal aid, is central to empowering residents to fully participate in civic and economic life.

KAFLA has served as a leading advocacy and service organization representing Korean Americans across Los Angeles County. For more than six decades, KAFLA has worked to:

• Empower immigrant and underserved communities
• Advance civil rights and language access
• Foster cross-cultural understanding
• Cultivate the next generation of Korean American leaders
• Strengthen U.S.–Korea relations
