Project Full Accounting - an archival research project to identify our fallen

Our mission is to "Remember the Sacrifice and Honor the Legacy" of Marine scout snipers over our 105-year history. Although there are undoubtedly thousands of Marines who have served as scout snipers over the past century, no one can tell us who they all were. As a result, we cannot put a name to every Marine scout sniper who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. The Marine Corps does not know. No known archive has compiled such a list. As a result, we have taken it upon ourselves to delve into any and all repositories of information that may yield relevant results, peeling back the layers to find every, single Marine - from 1917 through 2023 - who was trained as a scout sniper or who performed the duties of a scout sniper in every conflict since WWI. When we decided to build the Marine Scout Sniper War Memorial, we knew that the effort to identify every Marine honored by the memorial would be monumental. Our fallen deserve nothing less. We owe it to our brother Marines and to the Gold Star Families of the fallen to put a name to every Marine we honor with our memorial. If you have experience in archival research, and a particular interest in military and/or Marine Corps history, we need you!

There is no expiration date for this project. We will continue until we're satisfied that we've uncovered every name and have achieved a full accounting of our fallen.
