In December of 2017, Elizabeth Tate and Joe London decided to combine their therapeutic knowledge and horse skills to help heal military veterans who suffer from PTSD.
Today Common Ground has expanded its reach to include not only Veterans, but first responders, corporate professionals, those recovering from addiction or the loss of a loved one and numerous at-risk groups, all of whom have found comfort and solace here.
Our one-of-a-kind program uses four-legged teachers to help participants learn the power and strength of non-verbal communication and change within themselves. This is a powerful journey of teaching, learning and understanding; much more than just a fun day out.
Finding comfort during times of grief, learning to trust while in recovery or bringing peace to a veteran who needs to feel acceptance and become part of a tribe again…these are the kinds of transformations that happen as a result of the alternative modalities offered at Common Ground!
