Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1965, providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to more than 20,000 individuals each year across King and Pierce Counties. Through a network of outpatient clinics, mobile outreach, and residential treatment programs, we offer personalized mental health and substance use services—ranging from counseling and medication-assisted treatment to housing support and veteran care—all grounded in a team-based, recovery-focused approach.
With 13 facilities located throughout South King and Pierce Counties—including clinics in Seattle, Renton, Kent, Auburn, Federal Way, Midway (Des Moines), Rainier Beach, Bitter Lake, Enumclaw, and Pike Place—we serve some of the region’s most ethnically diverse, low-income, and underserved communities. Our Lakewood-based Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Valley Cities delivers high-quality, confidential mental health care to post-9/11 veterans, service members, and their families, regardless of discharge status, combat experience, insurance coverage, or ability to pay—available both in-person and via telehealth.
We provide counseling for children, adults, families, and veterans; treatment programs for youth and adults with substance use disorders; and vital support for individuals experiencing homelessness or seeking employment. As the demand for these services continues to grow, your support makes it possible for Valley Cities to be there for those facing overwhelming challenges—offering hope, promoting recovery, and improving quality of life.
