Volunteer Chore Services

, Catholic Community Services of Western Washington

The mission of Volunteer Services (formerly Volunteer Chore Services) is to assist low-income older adults and adults with chronic illnesses or disabilities remain independent in their own home. The program currently works with thousands of older adults and adults with disabilities. VS is committed to helping older adults and adults with disabilities remain independent in their own homes through a network of caring community members. The services are provided at no charge and serve as a safety net for those individuals who cannot afford to pay for assistance and do not qualify for other assistance. Volunteers generally provide 2-8 hours per month assisting their neighbors depending on their schedules and availability.

Donate:
If you are looking for a way to support low income older adults and adults with disabilities who have little support from the community, here are some options:

Gift Cards: Purchase gift cards to grocery stores and drug stores, to help those struggling to stretch their budget to eat nutritional meals all month long, and to purchase items for hygiene, housework, and medical needs.

Yard Tools: Purchase new yard work tools or gather used tools in good working condition to ensure adequate tools are available for volunteer group projects happening throughout the county. Contact the Intake Coordinator at vc@ccsww.org to find out what tools are most needed.
