Telling our Story and helping the public! During these multi day rides, we ride our bikes in all weather conditions and pass through numerous towns. We are identified by the AFCT uniforms while riding and wear Air and Space Force outerwear during the evening and night activities. Whether we’re on the road or in the overnight towns, people
recognize us and want to engage in conversation about our military service and what inspires us to continue to serve in this capacity. We truly love our time on the road! Our team is well known for helping riders with mechanical
issues with their bicycles, supporting minor medical issues and telling the our stories of service. During RAGBRAI 2023 our team of 180 Riders fixed 1162 flats, repaired 300+ broken chains, and had positive contact with more than 10K people on the route and another 36K on Facebook. Our second annual M2M ride had more than 100 participants and raised over $15K for the Wounded Airman Program. The M2M Ride is quickly growing into a nationally recognized event that will soon be in the class of major public sporting events!
Our team does NOT receive any financial assistance from the Air Force or Space Force. Members are responsible for funding approximately $500 in uniforms and registration fees and an additional $400-$500 for meals and incidentals supporting our major events, RAGBRAI (Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) and Memorial to Memorial Ride (M2M). RAGBRAI is an annual week long ride that has long been our primary event to help others and share the Air and Space Force story. RAGBRAI has up to 15,000 participants annually and is the Team’s best opportunity to recruit and provide support the public. M2M is our newest ride starting on the coast of North Carolina at the Wright Brothers Memorial and ending at the Air Force Memorial in Washington D.C. M2M is a challenging ride that honors our heritage and raises funds for the Air and Space Force Association's Wounded Airmen Program.
