But when they take off the uniform, many face the most difficult transition of their lives, often without the structure, community, or support they once relied on.
The Civilian Ready Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and DoD SkillBridge Partner, was created to change that.
Why We Exist
Every year, more than 200,000 men and women leave the military. Most have served with honor, yet too many struggle silently with a fragmented transition process. They face cultural disorientation, loss of identity, underemployment, stalled careers, and isolation that can escalate into serious mental health challenges.
These outcomes are not inevitable. They are preventable.
They point to a system problem, not a service member problem.
Civilian Ready exists to provide the one thing that has been missing:
a holistic, proactive, life-changing transition experience, delivered before they leave the military.
Our Solution: The Civilian Ready Reboot Camp
Our signature offering is a no-cost, 12-week Reboot Camp built on a Transition as Wellness framework.
It is not training.
It is a transformational experience.
We help service members reset identity, renew purpose, and realign direction for civilian life by focusing on the mindset first. This is the foundation for lasting success.
Graduates are Civilian Ready on Day One, achieving five measurable outcomes:
Culturally Adapted – Able to navigate civilian norms, expectations, and communication styles.
Socially Integrated – Reconnected to community through relationships, networks, and belonging.
Vocationally Aligned – Clear direction, skill alignment, and a civilian-ready professional narrative.
1st Choice Premium Talent – Positioned as high-value contributors in the labor market.
New Identity, Purpose & Destiny – Confidence to thrive, not just survive in civilian life.

We prepare them before they step into civilian life, so they can accelerate their impact from day one.
Long-Term Impact
Transition doesn’t end after 12 weeks.
Our graduates receive 36 months of continued support, mentorship, community connection, and growth touchpoints.
We walk with them through one of life’s biggest transitions because the mission is not just career placement.
The mission is whole-person wellbeing, purpose, and long-term stability for the veteran and their family.
