Sirens and Salutes, Inc was founded and incorporated by Bill and Cindy Price in April 2021. Bill is a Navy Veteran and retired firefighter, now volunteering at his local fire department. He also is Commander of our local VFW Post. Cindy is a Registered Nurse with many years' experience working in the ER and ICU. Both coming from service families with military and police backgrounds, instilling the value of community service in their children. Our board is all volunteer with history rich in service to our communities. We host 9/11 Memorial Walks each year for 9/11, and in 2021 we purchased and placed almost 500 wreaths on Veterans graves in a local Buchanan cemetery. We have grown to outside of our town and now also do many other cemeteries. Thank you gift cards for local eateries are given to on- duty Police and Fire when we have the opportunity to see them in the community. We host a Fallen Heroes Tree to honor and remember those killed in the line of duty every year. We send condolence card to departments around the country when they lose an officer or firefighter in the line of duty- this also includes K9s. We partner with our elementary school to decorate Christmas cards and our President dresses as Santa and gives those cards to Veterans at a local VA center. One of our fundraisers is Photos with Santa-- it is by donation. Our goal was to make sure every child has the opportunity to get a photo with Santa with no price cost pressure for parents. Parents take the pictures! This is a fundraiser for us as well. We have a donation box available for those that are in a position to donate. A lot of these kids come to us because they cant afford a mall photo. Our hope is to be able to have Santa give them a stuffed animal when they visit him.
