Veterans BBQ Camp (VBC) is a Veteran-founded nonprofit organization that transforms the lives of veterans through the art of BBQ cooking using wood-fired smoking techniques. Our camp offers a comprehensive curriculum, covering everything from selecting the proper smoker, wood, spices, and meats to preparing and serving complete meals. By combining hands-on training, mentorship, camaraderie, and ongoing support, we ensure our Veteran participants have the tools they need to succeed not only at the camp but throughout life. VBC prides itself in creating lasting relationships between Veterans, Veteran support organizations, and introducing veterans to new skills through BBQ and in return creating a support network to disrupt the 22 Veterans a day committing suicide. VBC support Veterans that are struggling with transition, isolation and loss of mission. VBC believes it is important to provide Veterans with task and purpose, something many Veterans struggle to find after leaving the service. Our unique program not only imparts valuable culinary skills but also fosters a supportive community. Veterans who attend our camp report reduced feelings of isolation and anxiety and find a renewed sense of purpose and connection.
Veterans BBQ Camp is a veteran run nonprofit 501c3 organization that is supremely passionate about its mission. We take pride in providing veterans with the opportunity to learn the therapeutic skill of cooking and smoking BBQ. This includes but is not limited to everything from selecting the proper cuts of meat, preparing the meat and the most gratifying part, serving it to friends and family.
