Wild Horse Haven Rescue is an advocate for horses and all animals, we promote and educate our knowledge that all animals are sentient beings with compassionate souls and deep feelings. We teach compassion and respect for horses and all life. We adhere to the premise that horses are especially attuned to the emotional needs of humans and we bring them together with human-animal connections. Wild Horse Haven Rescue is committed to educating our youth in the quest to respect animals (and all life), and to actively support responsible care and understanding of animals and nature. We are dedicated to our mission to support horses, humans and other animal souls who are suffering and in need. Our mission to stop suicides drives us to develop and host programs with the horses and those in need. We are both a rescue and a sanctuary (haven), providing a home and care to any (and all) mustangs, horses or burros that are in need, as well as any animals that are in distress. The horses of WHHR are partners in our programs for the youth as well as providing support for veterans and others suffering from PTSD or other mental health issues through structured connections; horse to human.
Wild Horse Haven Rescue is a sanctuary for wild horses and all animals that need a home, most of our mustangs here have physical or psychological problems that do not allow them to go to a home to be ridden or to be around people. These unwanted horses and animals we give a home where they can have a quality of life, make friends and find happiness and joy.
