“Emeri being diagnosed has altered not just her life but all five of us. A blessing from it is her and her two younger siblings have a really sweet relationship with being together so much. Oppose to Emeri going to a school and classroom in person and missing out on play dates, birthday party’s, gymnastics and family camping/ kayaking trips she’s either in the hospital or home with her siblings. She misses school and her friends sooo much. Our ever so active and outgoing tan little girl has faded into a skinny pale tired and sad girl that has matured way faster than she should. She’s had 4 hospital stays from sickness and fever with two of them being over 20 days long. She was in so much pain she’d throw up from her stomach viruses that formed from her fevers. Throwing up and pooping blood Countless nosebleeds. She lost gobs of hair with refusal of shaving it because she was scared to be bald, didn’t want to look at herself in the mirror. She went from a pic line in her arm due to the tumor in her chest being too big to a port placement that didn’t go well and had to use a vein in her jugular. That same procedure the doctor poked a hole in her lung and was hospitalized to heal that. Two bone marrow biopsies. Countless lumbar chemo procedures and several chemo injections in her arms and tons of pills. All this with still two intense phases of treatment left to go. One of the many side effects she’s dealt with is her teeth decay, last week she had two root canals and 4 caps and 5 teeth pulled. Besides her precious body decorated with scars from her cancer journey i can’t imagine the mental pain she’s endured.
To be there for her at her appointments and all her hospital stays in had to quit my job. Her dad is still working at his company, Urbix inc, to now pay all our bills. My part was gas groceries and the phone bills and Kyle has worked all the overtime he can to keep us a float with rent srp water and internet now with my half. Any help financially would be more than a blessing.”
