HERD FOUNDATION

HERD Foundation’s Mission is to provide equine-assisted services as a prevention program designed to empower individuals to achieve personal development through connected relationships between humans and horses.

HERD works with Veterans, former military members and their families.
Horses teach humans how to be in a relationship. They are masters of authenticity, clear communication, setting boundaries, being in the moment, and enjoying play. horses teach us that we are stronger together as a herd. Our goal is to connect humans to horses so that participants can learn the skills of connection and belonging. Our hope is that when participants engage with horses in an arena, they learn how to build healthy attuned relationships both with themselves and with others. Participants enter our program as individuals but eave as part of a herd.
All of our Veterans' Freedom Patch programs are free of charge to the participants.
