Mudslides marooned people on steep slopes and at least 33,000 customers were without power.Deadly flash floods left a trail of destruction in eastern Kentucky, killing more than two dozen people and destroying homes and businesses along Appalachian valleys. Torrential rains also damaged parts of Virginia and West Virginia.
