FOB HOPE

FOB Hope is a veteran run nonprofit organization that conducts outreach to veterans living in places not meant for habitation. When we encounter said veterans, we triage them to determine the needs of the veteran. We also offer to locate shelter for the veteran if they wish. If they choose not to go to shelter, we provide survival gear and basic items to assist with safety and security. We also provider resources and referrals to each veteran. Lastly, we continue to follow up with the veteran until we have addressed all identified issues or have exhausted all possibilities.
FOB Hope prides itself on filling gaps. With this in mind, we also assist other organizations by providing items that are difficult to find (i.e. bicycles, computers, etc.) on a limited basis.
In 2022, FOB Hope opened a first of it's kind Veterans Village in Tacoma, WA. What sets us apart from other organizations is that we provide case management, housing plans, employment assistance, disability claims assistance, and more. We also restore dignity to Veterans who have been living on the street by providing them restrooms, hot showers, and plenty to eat. The Village is not the typical emergency shelter. Our Veterans do not have to leave at 6:00 am, they stay at the Village until they are permanently housed.
