Goal #1: $1000 raised to support the 2022 LEADS (Leadership, Ethics, Diversity in Science) Mobile Workshop for over 100 metro Atlanta middle and high schoolers. West Point Cadet-led STEM workshops promote leadership and teambuilding skills; to reinforce the importance of ethical leadership in an increasingly technology-driven world; to underscore the importance of competent and diverse leadership in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Goal #2: $2500+ raised will support the Veterans Empowerment Organization (VEO) to provide housing, wellness services and workforce development services through a healing campus environment to allow veterans to rebuild their lives to self-sufficiency. Details at www.veohero.org
Since inception as West Point Charitable Enterprises of Atlanta, JRPF has proudly provided countless volunteer hours and financial assistance of over $122,000 to the following:
56 scholarships for Atlanta Public School JROTC students to attend the USMA Summer Leadership Experience
18 scholarships for local area students to attend the Strong Leader Academy
$7,000 for LEADs reaching out to primarily minority youth promoting interested in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math
$10,000 to Veterans Empowerment Organization (VEO) which offers a healing campus environment that allows veterans to rebuild their lives
$8,800 to Warrior2Citizen which helps veterans recover from psychological harm caused by career induced stress
$8,000 to Vets Help Vets which supports wounded veterans by accommodating their homes for handicapped assistance
$7,000 to Children of Fallen Patriots for children of veterans killed in action to attend college
$4,000 to Project Share at Shepherd to support veterans with Traumatic Brain Injuries
A multitude of additional $500 and $1,000 grants have been made to other veterans support activities.
