Project Overview:
Mommy & Daddy’s Little Angels Youth and Family Services Inc. (MDLAYAFS) is honored to present its 18th Annual Family Togetherness Gift Giving Event, an equity-centered holiday initiative serving low-income children, teens, seniors, and families throughout New York City. Scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, this event will welcome approximately 1,000 community members to the Williamsburg Center in Brooklyn, NY. It will provide a comprehensive day of joy, nourishment, and support through gift distribution, hot meals, holiday-themed entertainment, and wellness-focused engagement.
Additionally, we will host a Holiday Wellness Luncheon for 40 young adults living with HIV and terminal health conditions at China Buffet in Staten Island. This special event will offer a safe, affirming space for healing, reflection, and community during a season when many feel isolated and overlooked.
Statement of Need:
The holiday season is often one of hardship for families in under-resourced communities. Many caregivers are unable to provide gifts, festive meals, or celebratory gatherings due to financial constraints. Youth and seniors alike face social isolation, food insecurity, and mental health burdens that are magnified during this time of year.
The Annual Family Togetherness Gift Giving Event addresses this crisis with dignity and joy. We ensure that every guest receives gifts, meals, and the sense of community they deserve. Our model prioritizes inclusion, cultural responsiveness, and trauma-informed care, creating a memorable holiday experience rooted in equity, access, and belonging.
