SERJobs (SER), a community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1965, is a leader in workforce development and dedicated to building a high quality, high performance workforce by providing case management, education, occupational skills training and employment services to individuals, businesses and communities along the Texas Gulf Coast. SERJobs is recognized locally and nationally for serving at-risk, hard-to-serve individuals in diverse communities.
With the use of a comprehensive service strategy and strength-based coaching model, SERJobs empowers youth (16-24), Adults (25+), veterans, women, ex-offenders, the homeless, and other disenfranchised individuals with the knowledge, skills, resources, and support needed to overcome barriers to employment and obtain long-term financial stability.
Currently, SERJobs has a team of 74 staff members and serves over 4,000 people annually, 95% of whom are low-to-moderate income, and have barriers to employment (age, limited education, lack of experience, criminal background, transportation, homelessness, etc.). SERJobs offers both in-house and mobile services, co-locating with partners to deliver services in response to community need throughout a 13-county region with the largest number of clients in Harris, Fort Bend, and Galveston Counties.
