KANSAS LEGAL SERVICES INC

Providing civil legal services to low income, senior citizens and others without access to the legal system in traditional ways. Also supports a statewide legal information website, with accessible forms for use by self-represented litigants.

Working for eleven offices throughout Kansas, KLS provides free legal services to nearly 20,000 low income and elderly Kansans. We maintain the Kansas Elder Law Helpline and the Foster Care Helpline. We assist many Kansans with disabilities to obtain benefits to which they are entitled.

The Midland Mediation Program provides mediation services in family law and discrimination disputes.

Our goal is to break down the barriers that are keeping families poor, enhancing their ability to become self supporting, providing stable homes in which their children can thrive.
