Our horses are helping our students reach goals they never imagined. Lily Creek Farms is a therapeutic riding center. We have a professional team providing hope and healing opportunities through the use of equine-assisted activities.
We have seen firsthand how working with a 1,500 pound animal and gaining its trust increases a person's self-confidence, self-respect, and sense of responsibility and belonging. The farm is place where people of all ages benefit physically, cognitively and emotionally from a wide variety of horse experiences tailored to their needs by our horses, instructors and volunteers.
At Lily Creek Farms “Little Victories” happen every day. A 10 year old with Autism speaks his first words “Walk On” to his horse after only 2 sessions. A 13 year old in a wheelchair rides independently after only a few weeks. Adult students with MS reduce pain and increase flexibility. At risk youth turn failing grades to honor roll and go on to careers and colleges. These moments are beyond words and remind us again that our philosophy is true... Faith, Hope, and Love, but the greatest of these is Love!
Therapeutic Riding – Our riding sessions incorporate a wide range of goals into each session. Students ride weekly in small groups or individual sessions if needed.
Horsin' Around Field Trips – These programs run anywhere form 2 hours to a full day of farm fun, including art activities, horse care, riding, and even meals. Horsin' Around programs focus on any school, senior, veteran, or community organization.
Veterans Programs – We offer specialized programming for veterans and their families. These programs include riding and unmounted classes designed to help with the emotional and physical scars of military services.
Team Lily – This is our traveling team consisting of a mini horse, mini pig, farm therapy dog, and sometimes our horse and carriage team. Our team visits local community events, senior centers, and other community organizations.
