Honoring Heroes is comprised of all unpaid and uncompensated board members and volunteers. We feel strongly in the support of our Veterans, active duty military and their families.
We provide financial assistance to a few 5 star rated nonprofits that we've partnered up with on several projects. These include; training assistance and therapy dogs for our Veterans, supporting two local transitional programs which provide housing, drug and alcohol counseling and job placement classes and a local organization which provides PTSD treatment and counseling for returning veterans and their families.
We also work closely with the Oregon National Guard Family Services. We provide financial assistance whenever an emergency need arises. Examples include; car repair, gas money for emergency trips, plane tickets when needed, assistance paying rent and utility bills.
We generate our funds through several fund raising efforts such as poker run, car shows, bottle and can returns, auctions and raffles. We work with several local small business who also sponsor us which we share a symbiotic partnership with.
