Providing Food for People in Need: Due to inflation many Americans are facing the choice to pay bills or put food on the table. The food bank lines are as long as the worst days of the pandemic. Food Banks are forced to ration. Many people may be homeless by next year because the rent has tripled. It is becoming harder to make ends meet. With rising inflation many Americans are just getting by day to day due to having to spend 500 more per month on food, gas, utilities, very tough for those living paycheck to paycheck. 60% of lower income households said grocery prices were a major problem. Millions are turning to food banks for help. Food Banks are serving Fifty percent more people than a year ago. These are families that are working but are just not making enough to put food on the table. Everything is more expensive, and you are making the same amount that you were making before. The Government is scaling back COVID assistance programs. Donations from the USDA and grocery stores plummet. This is the worst shortage in years and pantries are rationing food to stay afloat. America is transitioning from a pandemic crisis to a hunger crisis. Some food banks will have to shut down.
