Veteran Recreation Ohio is dedicated to supporting the mental health and overall well-being of veterans through community, recreation, and purpose-driven activity. Many veterans silently carry emotional wounds that go untreated because resources are limited or difficult to access.
Our mission is simple: connect veterans to safe, supportive, recreational programs that build community and improve mental health.
This project, the Healing Through Recreation Fund, directly supports our nonprofit partners that provide opportunities such as fishing, hunting, camping, fitness, hiking, team-building retreats, outdoor therapy, indoor creative recreation, and group-based activities that help veterans reconnect with themselves and others.
Your support helps:
• Fund recreational therapy programs that promote mental resilience and healing
• Supply veterans with needed gear, equipment, and access to recreational spaces
• Provide group events that build belonging, camaraderie, and trust
• Support community organizations serving veterans across Ohio
• Remove financial barriers so veterans can participate at no cost
