BLUE RIDGE HONOR FLIGHT

Blue Ridge Honor Flight is a NC corporation formed in 2016 as a not-for-profit IRS Sec.501(c)3 organization. BRHF is dedicated to honoring veterans, especially WWII, Korean and Vietnam War Veterans. In 2025 funds were raised to fly two charter jets from Asheville NC to Washington DC so the Veterans could visit memorials dedicated to them. In addition to the free round-trip flights, Veterans were treated to meals, ground transportation, and gifts of commemorative shirts, hats, coins, books, etc. Upon each flights arrival to Asheville Regional Airport the veterans were greeted by crowds of over 500 folks, in a staged "Welcome Home" events.

Funds were also raised to provide Veteran Restoration Quarters, a homeless veteran help center housing over 300 veterans, with linens bath towels and wash cloths. Additionally, a contribution was to their Hurrican Helene restoration fund to assist in repairs. Funds were also raised to help local homeless, disabled, and medically challenged veterans in transition.

BRHF is a total volunteer lead organization, and does not have paid employees.
