Youth4Heroes

Youth4Heroes is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to honoring military members, veterans, and first responders through meaningful, hands-on volunteer service organized and led by teens.
Our signature program brings student volunteers into local community spaces like farmers markets, art fairs, and holiday festivals to run thank-you card writing drives. These events are entirely teen-led: students welcome the public, share our mission, and invite community members to write heartfelt letters of appreciation to those who serve.
We recently launched an at-home card writing initiative, making it easy for Scout troops, student clubs, and families across Los Angeles to participate from home. We provide clear letter-writing guidelines, collect completed cards, and deliver them to two national nonprofits, Operation Gratitude and For The Troops, both of which include these letters in care packages sent directly to service members.
We are actively growing our network of youth volunteers and partner organizations. Whether through a school club, scout troop, or community group, Youth4Heroes makes it simple for teens across LA to engage in purposeful service and see the real impact of their contributions.
