MANY HANDS AND MANY HEARTS

Many Hands and Many Hearts (MHMH) makes compassion quilts for those in need. So many people are alone in the hospital, and so many children in crisis feel that no one cares. We do! And we want those in need to feel less alone, and to know that there are MANY people who care about them. While MHMH was officially established in November 2024, it has been actively serving those in need in Oregon, through partnering with other Lane County non-profits since 2023. MHMH creates compassion quilts that are currently given to patients, including veterans, in palliative care through the nursing staff at a local hospital, as well as to Children in Crisis through an agency serving children in crisis throughout Oregon.

MHMH is currently supported by about 100 quilters from across the country who contribute completed quilt blocks and other material support, and by 50 local quilters who assemble, quilt and bind the quilts. The numbers of both groups keep growing! In 2024, MHMH donated 360 quilts to infants, children, teens, adults, and veterans.
