UNTAMED SPIRIT THERAPEUTIC AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Untamed Spirit Therapeutic and Educational Program was established in 2010 as a community-based Integrative and Therapeutic organization serving the special needs populations of Southeastern Virginia. In 2014, the organization expanded its program services to include Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy for those with behavioral and/or emotional challenges. We continue to provide our services to an ever-expanding population, including the extensive veteran community here in Hampton Roads.
Programs offered include Adaptive (therapeutic) horseback riding, Mental Health Psychotherapy, Wellness and Educational workshops. We also offer hands-on opportunities for sessions while engaging in organic gardening and interacting with farm animals. Populations we serve throughout Hampton Roads include individuals with Down Syndrome, Autism, a variety of learning disabilities and those recovering from a stroke. We also work with both children and adults with mental health challenges such as Anxiety, Depression, Suicide Ideation, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder, among others.
