NATIONAL VETERANS WELLNESS & HEALING CENTER IN ANGEL FIRE

In addition to the clinical and educational approaches used to help the veterans, complementary alternative medicine such as yoga, massage therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care, chi-ssage, art therapy, emotional freedom techniques, reiki (energy work), and Native American activities and ceremonies are used. The 7-day wellness and healing retreats have successfully incorporated the use of equine reintegration training into the program and connecting through nature. We strive to offer a selection of modalities for the couples to experience and discover what works best for them. All of this happens in the beautiful mountains of Angel Fire four to five times a year. In between retreats, NVWHC offers a Continued Care Program the provides counseling, massage, accupuncture, reiki, chiropractic care, holistic coahing, EFT, EMDR, and Tai Chi classes at no charge to New Mexico veterans and their partners.
NVWHC is sponsored by the State of New Mexico Department of Behavioral Health , which provides retreats and services to New Mexico veterans and their partners. NVWHC raises funds from private events and donors to allow veterans and their partners from all other states an opportunity to attend a retreat.
