The Empowerment Fund provides financial support and equipment to life-changing injury survivors in the form of board-approved grants for adaptive sports equipment, our healing network, medical equipment, programs, living expenses, and emergency care/injury expenses. Since 2009, the foundation has disbursed more than $10 million in Empowerment funding to 939 traumatic injury survivors in 47 states and territories plus Canada, with over $1 million disbursed in 2024 alone. In these 16 years, we’ve provided 334 adaptive bikes, 141 full sets of skiing equipment, and 52 surf/kiteboards to High Fives athletes across North America. By supporting the Empowerment Fund, you are enabling traumatic injury survivors to rediscover their identity through sport, overcome financial hurdles, and improve their quality of life and independence.
