This is a Sanskrit Language program conducted between 10 am and Noon every Saturday.
The teachers are well trained and there are several levels of students learning this ancient Indian Language.
The students are then able to read the scriptural texts in Sanskrit and understand the meaning in the original language.
The class is also useful for chanting Shlokas and Mantras.
There is a very important secular reason to learn Sanskrit. A lot of ancient scientific texts are also written in Sanskrit. 14 branches of knowledge such as architecture, astrology, astronomy, economics, metallurgy, life science etc. contain invaluable insights into how various scientific phenomena were studied and understood thousands of years ago. Combining these with modern science could produce significant innovation. Some stidents may go on to pursue such a study.
