COMMUNITY OUTDOOR RECREATION ASSOCIATION
BOZEMAN, MontanaCommunity Outdoor Recreation Association is building community through sustainability and recreating our connection to nature. We work to build sustainable communities through innovative programs which encourage better stewardship of the natural world.
We are a small, grassroots, volunteer led organization that fiscally sponsors community groups working to build healthy, sustainable places to live. Valley of the Flowers Project is one of our sponsored groups that is educating about plastic pollution, through it's BYO Bag for Change, Boomerang Bags, and BYO Mug for Change programs. These efforts have reduced single-use bags in our town by over 1 million bags, have raised over $50,000 for local causes in donated $.05 reusable bag credits, and is still growing. Other sponsored groups include Transition Town Bozeman, and Whole Health Warriors which are working to expand resources for veterans and community members seeking a healthy, sustainable options to improve well being.
