Every time, EMU 309, our Huey helicopter lifts into the sky, it's not just a flight, it’s a living tribute to the brave souls who served aboard her and others who served during the Vietnam War. But after 20 years of service, her main rotor blades have reached their FAA inspection limits and must be inspected and possibly repaired. Without a matched set of replacement blades, costing $200,000, we can no longer operate her. This isn’t about parts. It’s about preserving history, educating future generations, and continuing a flying sanctuary for veterans battling PTSD and the invisible wounds of war.
