An independent film that follows Juan, an undocumented immigrant, who awakens from a work-related injury to an unexpected reality. His life takes a turn when he meets Leticia, the love of his life. Yet, their romance reveals a chilling secret about his accident, thrusting Juan into a nightmarish realm where shattered dreams and sobering truths converge. As he grapples with his circumstances, Juan discovers that he's living through two variations of his life, simultaneously experiencing a parallel existence in an alternative universe.
This film is a supernatural drama with elements of the paranormal through visions and ghosts who warn Juan of danger or help him find his way back to the life he loved. As soon as we have a handle on what’s happening, the story twists and turns. We feel the sweat and the grit of the hard-working immigrant life along with the release of cold beer and wild nights. Every character in this film is striving for the simple American Dream. They know it doesn’t come easy and are willing to fight for it.
