USAFA Women is a veteran-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting and connecting women who have attended or graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA). Our mission is to unite, support, and inspire USAFA women while celebrating their legacy and preserving their history.
As we mark 50 Years of USAFA Women, we are preparing a multi-day celebration in April 2026 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to honor the trailblazing women who entered the Academy in June 1976. Their courage paved the way for future generations, and this historic milestone deserves recognition.
Beyond celebrating our history, USAFA Women is committed to preserving and amplifying the voices of the community. We collect and share stories in collaboration with the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress and HERstory at the Military Women's Memorial at Arlington Cemetery.
We also support healing by sponsoring women for an annual sexual assault survivor retreat, offering a path toward recovery and empowerment.
Additionally, we are working to establish a statue and garden at the U.S. Air Force Academy to commemorate the trailblazers from 1976 and serve as a tribute to the continued contributions of all USAFA women in both military and civilian life.
