MEALS ON WHEELS WEST

At the heart of our work is Delivering More Than a Meal, our flagship program serving older adults with nutritious food, regular wellness checks, and human connection. As community needs evolved, so did we. In 2014, we launched Supporting Veterans to address the unique challenges facing aging and homebound veterans. In 2017, we expanded our impact through the Food & Shelter Program, partnering with Step Up, Venice Community Housing, and The People Concern to serve individuals transitioning out of homelessness.

In 2020, as the COVID pandemic reshaped daily life and deepened isolation, MOW West responded by creating Community Connections, a program designed to support the newly quarantined and address the mental and emotional well-being of everyone we serve. This program has continued on and sustains its impact as an antidote to isolation and loneliness.

While our roots are in Santa Monica, our reach has grown to meet rising, yet often hidden, food insecurity and social isolation across the Westside. Today, MOW West proudly serves communities in Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Venice, Marina del Rey, Del Rey/Palms, and Malibu, delivering nourishment, dignity, and care; one meal, one visit, and one relationship at a time.
