Ukraine Matters is a Californian 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization set up under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for charitable purposes (EIN 93-3368432). It focuses on:
(a) fighting the ruscist propaganda, debunking the myths about Ukraine, and raising awareness about it and its culture in the US and worldwide by organizing interviews, webinars, roundtables, film screenings, film festivals, smart conferences, Ukrainian literature publishing and translation campaigns, etc.;
(b) providing psychological assistance to the members of the fallen Heroes’ families through professional psychotherapy (support groups, individual therapy sessions, webinars) and different kinds of art therapy: phototherapy (psychological portrait, group interactive therapy), pottery classes, drawing classes, etc.;
(c) providing medical rehabilitation to Ukrainian veterans at the Rehabilitation Center “With Love in the Heart” (Kosiv, Ukraine), Superhumans (Lviv), UNBROKEN (Lviv), and medical assistance (dentistry, ophthalmology, gynecology, neurology, screenings, etc.) and therapeutic exercises (hippotherapy, pilates, nordic walking) to the members of the fallen Heroes’ families;
(d) providing Study Grants within the innovative training and employment program for the IDPs, Ukrainian veterans, and members of the fallen Heroes’ families, alongside prioritizing teaching Ukrainian, English, chess, etc.
All donations are tax-deductible. The nonprofit has no overhead expenses and works directly with reliable partners on the ground in Ukraine.
