NAMI Multnomah is the Multnomah County affiliate for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. We aim to provide a platform that allows persons affected by mental illness to have a powerful voice in the local mental health community.
NAMI Multnomah provides free, peer-led education programs, support groups, and initiatives that actively support community mental health. We passionately promote improved access to services, increased opportunities for recovery, reduced stigma and discrimination, and increased public understanding of mental illness.
NAMI Signature classes and support groups are led by trained volunteers with lived experience. Our volunteers also deliver presentations at grocery stores, schools, and any other organizations that want to learn more about living with a mental health condition and about offering resources to their community. We also provide services to families including peer support for parents and caregivers creating a plan to address their child's needs and to remove barriers to receiving needed care.
