HBA CHARITABLE AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION

The Charitable & Education Foundation of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cleveland operates the following programs to serve our mission:

* Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training Program: This curriculum provides students with a comprehensive education in nine trade-specific disciplines through a 75% hands-on and competency-based approach. Students and instructors alike will have access to HBI's Learning Management System (LMS), a web-based platform of training tools and content that assists with the practice of course material.

* Scholarship program: Funding is granted to students interested in the construction industry, ensuring they can access the higher education and resources needed to develop a sustainable career.

* Let’s Build Blocks! Student Contest: This activity, open to all elementary school children from grades kindergarten through sixth, encourages curiosity about building structures and being creative. Our team hopes that this will serve to attract future construction professionals to the trade industries in Ohio.

* Charitable donations: The HBACEF focuses on making charitable contributions to organizations focused on veteran well-being, child healthcare, and suicide prevention. Additionally, we collaborate with Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky, & Indiana (OKI) each holiday season to raffle off a newly built home in Cleveland, providing not only affordable housing but also further funding for these essential nonprofit associations.
