There are more than 76,000 people in the Seattle area living below the poverty line, in homes they own, but who are unable to maintain or repair them due to their physical and financial capacity. Life circumstances such as illness, aging, inflation, or job loss have forced our neighbors in need to make difficult trade-offs between either deferring significant repair or maintenance on their home, or foregoing other basic needs. By providing free home rehabilitation, Rebuilding Together helps to preserve homeownership, prevents displacement, and improve health outcomes, will bringing volunteers and communities together to celebrate the character and culture of our neighborhoods.
