Piedmont Music Therapy (PMT) is a dynamic and compassionate non-profit organization based in Charlotte, NC, dedicated to offering accessible and impactful music therapy services as well as music education to individuals in our local communities. At the core of PMT’s mission is a deep belief in the transformative power of music to support emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. Our team of board-certified music therapists brings a wide range of expertise and experience to each session, using music as a powerful tool for personal growth, healing, and connection.
PMT works with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, focusing on fostering a safe, inclusive environment where clients can explore their personal potential. We are committed to supporting vulnerable and underserved populations, including military veterans, individuals living with mental health conditions, children and youth in under-resourced neighborhoods, survivors of trauma, and those with disabilities. Our therapy programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each client, and we are deeply invested in providing opportunities for these individuals to thrive through creative expression and collaborative activities.
In addition to our therapeutic services, PMT is also passionate about creating community through free programs that bring neighbors together to experience the unifying and healing qualities of music.
