The tranquility of the surroundings you immerse yourself in allows your mind to unwind and find peace. The only sounds you hear are the soft rustling of leaves, the distant chirping of birds, the trickling of a stream or waterfall, and the occasional gentle breeze brushing against the cabin. This is what Tranquility Point offers the struggling individuals and families that come to visit. The goal is to have guest enter a state of mind where they achieve a calmness and concentrate on how to reduce their anxiety, depression, other mental stressors, and get a good night’s sleep. Tranquility Point’s master plan includes a lodge to house one family with up to 4 kids, and one large community group a month. The large open space of the lodge will be a gathering area to hold suicide prevention classes and other larger group activities in bad weather. This building will also include one side entrance room to run office operations out of. We are fortunate enough to have an adjacent property offered to us at a reasonable market cost. The pros to purchasing this property is no ground prep or clearing of trees. There is water, electric, sewer and a building already in place. We would need to revamp the building to make it suitable for living and office space. We also have an anonymous board member that will match dollar per dollar up to $100,000 that is donated to make this a suitable lodge for our guest and to accomplish Tranquility Point’s daily operations out of. Obtaining this property will offer a lodge that can house larger families under one roof. We are asking for funding to help create this much needed space to carry out our administration operations and have a lodge that envelops families in a coziness to heal and reconnect.
