ONE BLOOD MOVEMENT OF UNITY

One Blood Movement of Unity Inc. (OBMOU) is a community-driven nonprofit committed to uplifting youth, families, veterans, and vulnerable populations across Johnston, Wake, and Nash Counties. Our mission is rooted in building unity, reducing hardship, and strengthening communities through practical support, mentorship, and large-scale outreach initiatives.

OBMOU provides year-round programs including youth mentoring, life skills development, family support services, senior assistance, and dedicated resource support for veterans facing food insecurity and economic challenges. We also assist elders with small home projects to improve safety and quality of life.

Our flagship initiative, the Annual Thanksgiving Community Meal, has grown into one of the region’s largest outreach efforts, now serving more than 7,000 individuals across multiple counties. This program mobilizes hundreds of volunteers and partners to prepare and distribute hot meals to families, seniors, veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness or financial hardship.

OBMOU is committed to equitable access, inclusive service, and community collaboration. All programs are open to the public and focused on improving stability, strengthening resilience, and meeting essential needs for underserved and at-risk populations. Through unity, service, and compassion, OBMOU continues to create measurable impact and meaningful change in the communities we serve.
