The Rocky Mountain Fisher House Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit which supports the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Fisher House located in Aurora, Colorado. The Foundation recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. We are dedicated to supporting military and veteran families while a loved one is receiving medical care at the VA hospital or approved facility. Our goal is to meet a humanitarian need beyond that provided by the VA. Our unique program supports the comfort needs of our military and veteran families during a medical crisis.
Our spacious 16 suite home can accommodate 32 people. The home features private bedrooms and baths with a large shared kitchen and modern living rooms for guests to relax. The home also has an elevator to easily access the second floor.
The biggest impact for those receiving medical care is having their families by their sides without having to worry about hotel bills. We save military and/or veteran families thousands of dollars in hotel bills while also providing the comforts of a home. Research shows that having a loved one by the patient's side during extended medical treatment can aid in the healing and well being of the patient.
We have been supporting our local Fisher House for over 25 years. In fact, the Rocky Mountain Fisher House Foundation was the first 501(c)(3) dedicated to support a local Fisher House.
