Serenity Veterans Village Houses Homeless Veterans, Families, Surviving spouses, Young dependents of Veterans. There is Little to No cost to any veteran for food/clothing/housing though if higher income veterans who choose to stay do donate 250 a month to their care.
This is not a shelter but houses. Those with out transportation are taken by us to their appointments, shopping or anywhere else they need to go. OJT and Skilled Trades training is available to our younger participants, Navy Fed CU opens each a savings account when needed and offers them financial guidance. Dallas Combat Vet counselling offers them in home counseling and group therapy. Most importantly we are all Veterans, We understand the devastation of PTSD and that our brothers or sisters may NEVER again be able to live in a family unit unless some kind of "cure" is found. We welcome residents to have companion and or service animals, there are very few options for veterans that need that connection to animals because they are forced to choose. Not with us though we also help where we can with their companion/service animal. We encourage Rescuing of animals and provide the acreage for them to be able to help the animals who are dumped locally.
We become a part of their family and they ours.
