Recently, devastating tornadoes have struck Kentucky, Texas, Iowa, Michigan, Tennessee, and Oklahoma, causing widespread destruction and loss of life. In Kentucky, four people died and severe weather caused extensive damage and power outages. Governor Beshear urged residents to report damages to qualify for FEMA assistance.
In Texas, seven people were killed, over 100 were injured, and more than 300 structures were damaged or destroyed. Governor Abbott declared disaster status in 106 counties.
Iowa faced similar destruction, with Governor Reynolds declaring a disaster emergency for 15 counties. The city of Greenfield suffered significant damage from a tornado.
In Tennessee, over 100 homes were damaged, and one woman was killed. Governor Haslam highlighted the community's resilience during his visit to affected families.
Michigan's Governor Whitmer declared a state of emergency after tornadoes caused severe damage and injuries, particularly in Pavilion Township.
Oklahoma experienced significant destruction, including the evacuation of a nursing home and widespread power outages. At least one death was reported.
Remember, every contribution counts—whether it's financial support, volunteering, or spreading awareness. Together, we can help those impacted by these tornadoes.
