EmpowerPups by Hero's Puppy for Life

Thank you for considering the Veteran's Puppy for Life Organization dba EmpowerPups by Hero's Puppy for Life. Because the scope of the program has been expanded to include U. S. Armed Forces, Emergency First Responders, all individuals with disabilities needing an ADA-compliant Service Dog, we are now operating as EmpowerPups by Hero's Puppy for Life Organization. We have filed a DBA with the State of Colorado.

In April 2015, the idea began with one puppy. The goal was to place one puppy with a U.S. Armed Forces Veteran and First Responder living with PTSD. Today, it is a no-harm and no-fear service dog training organization using a unique concept of relationship bond training with the veteran and his or her puppy.

We purchase and provide the puppy, veterinarian health care assistance, and all of the training at no cost to our recipients. Together, they go through the nine-month Relationship Bond Training, created by our Founder, Frank Griggs. Upon graduation, the puppy will become his or her PTSD service dog. Our goal is to give our veterans the opportunity to have their life as close to what they had before their trauma occurred.

To date, we have graduated eighty-nine puppies as service dogs. This year we will reach our 100th puppy and even more with those currently in training. Over the course of one year, we can have potentially twenty veterans and their puppies in training. We now have training facilities in Denver and Colorado Springs. Our goal is to reach out across the United States. This will allow us to extend our Relationship Bond Training's reach to those who have served us.
