We believe it's our duty to honor and recognize the sacrifices and achievements of
those who have served our nation. Our mission is to commemorate Nevada’s veterans
and have established a Memorial Plaza at the scenic Sparks Marina.
The Memorial Plaza is a tribute not only to those who made the ultimate sacrifice but
also to those who returned home, their lives forever changed by their service. Many
veterans face ongoing struggles with mental health as they navigate the transition back
to civilian life. To deepen understanding and appreciation of their sacrifices, we’re
creating an educational pathway with kiosks highlighting Nevada’s role in various
conflicts, starting with the Civil War.
One of these kiosks will focus on suicide prevention, addressing the alarming
rates among active-duty military members. Our goal is not only to educate but
also to provide vital resources for those grappling with mental health challenges
during and after their service.
Currently, we’ve incurred over $850,000 in construction costs, and there’s more work to
be done to complete the memorial
