William's Walk Riding and Driving program offers children (4 - 18) and adults living with disabilities the chance to interact with horses at the level they are able. Improvements in physical and cognitive development are regularly noted as well as improved quality of life as they interact with the volunteers and the horses. In 2019 we served over 60 participants.
Classes are held on time a week for 45 minutes and are a combination of groundwork and riding or driving skill. Using day to day horsemanship skills, the participants see improvement in their physical, cognitive, social and emotional wellbeing.
