COSUMNES LEGACY FOUNDATION

“Furthering a legacy of community enrichment through the support of parks, recreation, fire protection, and emergency medical care” is the mission of the Cosumnes Legacy Foundation (Foundation). For more than a dozen years, the Foundation has supported quality-of-life services, focusing on programs and projects related to parks, recreation, fire protection, and emergency medical care within the Cosumnes Community Services District’s governing areas of Elk Grove, Galt, and South Sacramento.

Under the direction of a highly motivated Board of Directors, the Foundation secures funds through private donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations seeking to create an enduring legacy in the community. The Board of Directors comprises nine community leaders dedicated to building partnerships and developing relationships with local businesses, organizations, and other non-profit organizations.
Foundation board members are expected to raise funds for ongoing projects. The organization is primarily focused on raising funds to build the Elk Grove Veterans Memorial. Other Foundation projects include Cosumnes Recreation Opportunity Fund (CROF), Gifts For Tomorrow, SMART 911 GO, and Pirates Island.
