Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc., founded in 1957, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit serving 48 counties of middle and west Tennessee. It's mission is changing lives through education, training and employment, and it annually provides thousands of people with free career services. The organization operates 30 retail stores, two outlet stores, more than 40 Donation Express Centers, and 13 Career Solutions centers. It serves individuals seeking employment within Goodwill and in the community, including veterans, seniors, ex-offenders, individuals with developmental or physical disabilities, non-native English speaking persons, young adults and high school-aged youth. In 2022, nearly 11,000 individuals received free employment and training services of which 981 were placed with over 400 employers in the community.
Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc., employs over 1,300 individuals and is one of middle and west Tennessee’s largest employers of people with disabilities.
