Tarpon Springs HOPE Center Project - provides wrap-around services to our homeless population including laundry, shower facilities and a centralized community kitchen for those in need. Hot and Cold Meals are served to the displaced and low-income population, 7 days a week. Mental Health Counseling is also provided to our displaced, underprivileged and homeless population.
Food pantry provides weekly groceries on a supplemental basis for thousands of families and individuals per month. In 2023 we received and distributed approximately 3.5 million lbs. of donated food.
Grocery delivery service to home-bound seniors and persons with disabilities once a week.
Food Drop weekly deliveries to neighborhoods were either people cannot travel to us because they have no transportation, are sick or they are working and can’t make it to the Shepherd Center.
Outreach Services provide short-term assistance during an emergency that threatens the ability to maintain basic needs – Birth Certificates, bus passes, Florida ID’s, assistance with electric bills, assistance in obtaining non-narcotic medications, provide vouchers for clothing and furniture, toiletries, a mailing address, access to social services agencies, job training, and referrals to community partners, Case Management and Mental Health Counseling.
Project T.H.A.N.K.S. - Distribute turkeys and fixings to families in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday.
Adopt-A-Family Program - Purchase & brings together children in need with sponsors during Christmas who purchase and donate unwrapped gifts to distribute to families. We also provide brand new toys and gift certificates to walk-in not registered in time.
Resale Outlet/Thrift Store is our main source of income which helps supports our programs. We are not funded by Federal or State. We depend on the Thrift Store and our donors.
